OUR ACTIONS
Building and protecting our socio-natural worlds
Our projects are guided by a political ecology approach, which recognizes that ecosystem conservation depends not only on science, but also on participation, rights, and social justice. Through this perspective, we promote participatory management of protected areas, community-based monitoring of rivers and glaciers, and the inclusion of women and youth in decision-making.

We believe that conserving ecosystems requires democratic societies, with strong and transparent institutions, where informed communities have the right to participate and influence decisions.
